Voyage Century is a real-world-map MMORPG developed by Snail Games and published by IGG. The game is stated in 16th century and you take the role of a sailor, sailing in real life ports in Europe, Asia and Africa. If you ever dreamed of becoming a captain then Voyage Century can give you a chance to feel like it, even with those 2006 graphics.

In Voyage Century you start as a regular sailor and you can choose one of 5 different professions to master: Royal Military Officer, Imperial Guardian, Caribbean Pirate, Treasure Hunter and Armed Businessman. You can change professions at will, depending on what path you want to follow.

Even though there is no story depth in the game, its port-to-port quest tree keeps you hooked for hours, progressing your skill tree and profession mastery to perfection. Its skill progression is especially thorough and you can try many different activities like gardening and boat building.

Sea battles are its main unique characteristic even though there are some big imbalances to the way ships trade fire. What’s interesting about Voyage Century is its land battle system where you can use an AFK farming system to do the grinding for you. It’s not unusual for new players to have reached max level in a few hours with that feature.

It’s graphic environment, even though it’s not 2017 material, is realistic to the matter of 16th century port cities. What’s sometimes frustrating is the camera movement and the occasional glitches to the game’s graphics. Bugs are also often existent, making some quests impossible to get through with.

Sound effects and music in Voyage Century is pleasant to the players ears, even though it might get a little annoying hearing those sailor themes for a big period of time.

Briefly, Voyage Century is a really cool naval MMORPG experience and you should try it if you are into that 16th century pirate themed kind of life. It won’t disappoint you in aspect of gameplay since you’ve got tons of things to do even though its graphic environment and user interface are outdated for an MMO in 2017.
