Villagers and Heroes is a free-to-play Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) from Mad Otter Games. It was once released in 2011 with the name A Mystical Land and took its current name in 2014 when it was relaunched; finally in 2015 it was once again upgraded with better graphics, voice-acting, new quests and a revamped crafting system.

In many ways, this is a typical MMORPG so you will find a meticulous character creation system with a plethora of options that will help you create the hero you want; what is more, the four different classes and the complete skill system will ensure that your character will suit your gamestyle. The world of Villagers and Heroes is a vast place and the robust storyline will have you visit its every corner; it seems that there is always a quest to take which, in most cases, will put your hero in the middle of some funny situation. This is a game that doesn’t take itself too seriously and neither should you!

The game’s most exciting feature is Gnogmenting. It’s a process that enables players to mix and match gear, replace, customize and upgrade their equipment and design and craft their own items! There are 10 available gathering and crafting skills that will help you in creating the armor and weapons of your dreams! Additionally, there are Bounties, powerful enemies that roam the world freely and usually require a party to take down; their extermination will yield amazing rewards and is another way to gear up!

Villagers and Heroes comes with a complete housing system where you design and build your home, decorate it the way you like, plant and harvest crops and raise animals for food or profit. Graphics have a cartoonish feel and are on a par with the whole relaxing atmosphere of the game while the complete voice-acting is funny and amusing.

In conclusion, this is a fun title aiming at casual gamers who will enjoy its relaxing and easy-going atmosphere; raids, dungeons and other hardcore elements are not to be found and for many it could be a deal breaker, but Villagers and Heroes doesn’t seem to really care!

It was back at 1996 when Theodoros bought his first Personal Computer and with it a copy of Shogun : Total War. That was the beginning of many sleepless nights of exploring the fantastic world of gaming. He calls himself an “expert” defender and that’s his favorite gameplay style but he will not hesitate to grab a shield and go forth to protect his team as a tank. So next time you adventure in Azeroth and see a shield bearing cow named Klaras, you have found our guy! He is also a great fan of Role Playing Games. From Icewind Dale to Neverwinter Nights and Skyrim, you name it, he has played it all! He is not your average casual gamer, he is a dedicated fan!
