Stormfall : Age of War is a free-to-play, browser based, Massive Multiplayer Online (MMO) strategy game, produced and published by Plarium. It takes place in the war-plagued land of Darkshine, where you, Lord’s Oberon chosen champion, will have to defeat the evil forces of Balur and unite the realm.

The game features a detailed medieval world with beautifully depicted surroundings and a nice soundtrack with the appropriate epic theme. Players start the game at their own small kingdom and will have to build new buildings, learn the ancient secrets of the Lost Arts and maintain a careful balance between resource gathering and war faring. In order to learn the basics, there is a very helpful tutorial where Lord Oberon himself explains what to do and guides you through everything you need to know. After that, you are free to expand your kingdom by any means necessary, be that war or creating alliances with other lords. Building armies and using them on the field of battle is a key element of Stormfall. There are defensive, offensive and spy units. You can use spies to learn important information about your next opponent. Unfortunately, you can not interfere directly into battle; you just select which troops to send and after an amount of time you learn the outcome.

Stormfall is a typical representative of MMO strategy games. it doesn’t bring any innovations but gives you a familiar feeling, nice retro graphics, interesting story and a lot of interaction with other players. It will entertain you for a long time.

It was back at 1996 when Theodoros bought his first Personal Computer and with it a copy of Shogun : Total War. That was the beginning of many sleepless nights of exploring the fantastic world of gaming. He calls himself an “expert” defender and that’s his favorite gameplay style but he will not hesitate to grab a shield and go forth to protect his team as a tank. So next time you adventure in Azeroth and see a shield bearing cow named Klaras, you have found our guy! He is also a great fan of Role Playing Games. From Icewind Dale to Neverwinter Nights and Skyrim, you name it, he has played it all! He is not your average casual gamer, he is a dedicated fan!
