Star Trek Online is a free to play 3D MMORPG, by Cryptic Studios. Based on the super-famous Star Trek universe and featuring iconic characters and multiple elements from the original movies and TV-series, the game invites you to embark on a cruise of great explorations beyond known space and boundaries; to boldly go where no one has gone before….

Your journey begins by choosing your allegiance between Federation, Klingon and Romulan, creating your personal captain from over twenty classic Star Trek species, various career paths and multiple customization options. A vast array of iconic starships and vessels will be at your disposal to choose and command. The classic Enterprise, the Bird-of-Preys, the Warbirds and many cruisers, escorts, science vessels and dreadnoughts. They are all here to help you experience the Star Trek universe exactly as you have imagined.

Graphics quality is pretty standard, but music and sound effects feel amazing. Combat is also a pure blast! Even if you are not one of the millions of fans out there, you will be greatly impressed by the detailed ship customization options, on vessel, weapons and crew level and by the real-time strategic decision-making, that is absolutely necessary in order to stand a chance to survive in the vast, outer space. Of course, combat does not end in between spacecraft battles. Star Trek is all about exploration and discovery of new worlds, planets and civilizations, so be ready to “beam down” with your team or your online friends to uncover secrets and confront enemies in various diverse environments and locations.

Content is frequently updated introducing new unique elements, so you will always have new quests to complete and locations to explore. Although the gameplay can prove kind of repetitive for some players and despite the somewhat limited MMO mechanics, pure fun is guaranteed so take care not to miss this one. It is a classic!
