Runes of Magic is a free-to-play fantasy Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) developed by Runewalker Entertainment and published by Gameforge. The story takes place in the imaginary world of Taborea, created by the god Ayvenas, where players are in the quest for the lost parts of the god’s book, called runes.

Through an extensive customization process you choose your character’s race, class, gender and modify its external features. The game offers numerous and diverse quests, lots of places with beautiful 3Dgraphics (mountains, forests and even deserts), different types of monsters, but also a crafting system starting at level 10. Additionally, it supports team playing and guilds for lots of fun and quick leveling up.

Compared to other RPGs, the game features two distinctive traits. Participants can buy a house and decorate it according to their taste, so that they can get rest for their quests and skill points. Moreover, there’s a secondary class that you can choose once you reach level 10, allowing for greater depth in the gameplay. Again at level 10, there is the Arcane Transmutor which allows users to combine common magical stones and turn them into rarer ones, so that they can be used in gear and armor.

Rune of Magic features a quite realistic world with amusing effects, easy handling and an interface strongly resembling WoW. If you are an RPG fan and you want to play a free game, Runes of Magic is your next choice.

It was back at 1996 when Theodoros bought his first Personal Computer and with it a copy of Shogun : Total War. That was the beginning of many sleepless nights of exploring the fantastic world of gaming. He calls himself an “expert” defender and that’s his favorite gameplay style but he will not hesitate to grab a shield and go forth to protect his team as a tank. So next time you adventure in Azeroth and see a shield bearing cow named Klaras, you have found our guy! He is also a great fan of Role Playing Games. From Icewind Dale to Neverwinter Nights and Skyrim, you name it, he has played it all! He is not your average casual gamer, he is a dedicated fan!
