Riders Of Icarus is a free-to-play Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) from WeMade Entertainment and Nexon. It features an intriguing story of Order and Chaos, beautiful 3D graphics, an excellent pet and mounts system and exciting combat which includes aerial clashes!

You are a Rider, one of the few chosen heroes that fight Chaos on the back of their mounts. There are seven available classes and each one has a distinct set of abilities and role in combat. Creating a hero is a fun process since there are many available options; from hair color to body size and facial characteristics you will end up with a unique character.

The game uses CryEngine allowing for beautiful 3D graphics, well-detailed environments and models, dynamic lighting and excellent visual effects. Pets and mounts have an amazing variety and look absolutely great. Combat sessions will satisfy immensely; note that there is the option to fight on the back of a flying mount, something that adds extra value. Unfortunately, there is a small but rather annoying problem; in many occasions and while in combat, you will find yourself attacking a different foe that the one you have started the fight and all because of the bad targeting system! In most cases this will not be a problem but in higher levels or in aerial fights it is a source of frustration.

The game’s story is a long and intriguing one and will have you explore the world and kill countless of monsters for experience and loot. Gathering and crafting professions are present together with dungeons and raids. But the pet and mount system is where Riders Of Icarus shines; in reality, every mob in the game can be tamed and ridden as long as it is big enough to carry your hero. You just have to sneak on it, jump on its back and successfully finish the mini game that follows and it will be yours! Imagine trying to do that on a flying mob! Once tamed, the beast can become either your pet or your mount but note that you can’t ride a pet.

In conclusion, this is a great title, a typical representative of the MMORPG genre with a great story, top-tier graphics, interesting (but not flawless) combat system and an amazing pet and mount system. If you are a fan of the genre, try Riders Of Icarus, you will not be disappointed!

It was back at 1996 when Theodoros bought his first Personal Computer and with it a copy of Shogun : Total War. That was the beginning of many sleepless nights of exploring the fantastic world of gaming. He calls himself an “expert” defender and that’s his favorite gameplay style but he will not hesitate to grab a shield and go forth to protect his team as a tank. So next time you adventure in Azeroth and see a shield bearing cow named Klaras, you have found our guy! He is also a great fan of Role Playing Games. From Icewind Dale to Neverwinter Nights and Skyrim, you name it, he has played it all! He is not your average casual gamer, he is a dedicated fan!
