Are you a fan of trains? Have you ever wondered how it feels to run a train company? In Rail Nation, the free-to-play, browser based Massive Multiplayer Online Real Time Strategy (MMORTS) game from Travian Games and Bright Future you get the opportunity to become a railroad tycoon!

The game time is divided in six time eras, each one lasts 2 weeks and every time a new one begins, new trains and buildings become available. The ultimate goal is to become the champion of your server. The game offers a handy tutorial that will teach you the fundamentals of running a train company. Each player chooses a city on the world map which serves as their base. Your city is where you build your station and all the necessary structures to run it. In order to become the greatest of all, you need to search for towns that offer tradeable goods for a good profit and lay trucks between them for your trains to transport those goods.

Rail Nation features 2D graphics that look good and have great detail, especially when it comes to the various train engines. The soundtrack is easy to listen to and changes depending on the given era. Your station looks very basic in the beginning but as the game progresses and you raise new structures, it looks more and more as a real life train station.

This is a nice, casual game for train lovers and strategy fans alike. It looks good, is easy to play and gives you a sense of accomplishment as you watch your train empire to flourish. An experience you shouldn’t miss.

It was back at 1996 when Theodoros bought his first Personal Computer and with it a copy of Shogun : Total War. That was the beginning of many sleepless nights of exploring the fantastic world of gaming. He calls himself an “expert” defender and that’s his favorite gameplay style but he will not hesitate to grab a shield and go forth to protect his team as a tank. So next time you adventure in Azeroth and see a shield bearing cow named Klaras, you have found our guy! He is also a great fan of Role Playing Games. From Icewind Dale to Neverwinter Nights and Skyrim, you name it, he has played it all! He is not your average casual gamer, he is a dedicated fan!
