With so many MMORPG’s out there it’s difficult not think of every one of them as completely the same. Perfect World is a chinese mythology inspired massive multiplayer online RPG developed and published by Perfect World Entertainment, the studio behind Ragnarok Online. Even though this came has nothing more and nothing less than any other of its genre, its world is one of the most vivid and fantasy based ones.

You can create your character in a detailed character creation that has sliders for almost every part of your body. You can pinch and squeeze to create a character fitting your preferance and make him a fighter in one of 10 different classes, each one of which has a totally unique skillset.

Grinding is a huge factor in Perfect World. Even though quests are not hard and you will most likely find yourself one shotting everything that gets in your way, getting to 100 levels will require some heavy grinding from you. As you progress though you can unlock new skills, pets, experience and weapons to match with your gameplay. Apart from that, Perfect World features Daily Rewards to give you an extra reason to keep playing.

Sound is a controversial matter in this game. While the soundtrack that you listen to while you slay everything in your way is filled with calm chinese music, a weird mechanic the game implements will sometimes make you wanna quit and uninstall. Every area has a different soundtrack theme which makes songs fade in and out constantly when you switch areas.

In aspect of PvP, Perfect World is a massive one. There are 44 different areas that can be conquered in 80v80 battles to see who will stand victorious. The losers will have to pay a “respect fee” to the winners and go ahead to the next one.

All in all, Perfect World is a decent MMORPG with nothing too exciting to do though. Its combat system is a bit dull, the grinding it requires will probably get you bored so bottom line is that you can try it, but we don’t guarantee you’ll love it.
