Lost Sector Online is a turn based strategy MMORPG developed and published by Lost Sector Technologies. If you are familias with XCOM then you’ll find this game being a more “multiplayer friendly” version of it, for you and your friends to fight together. Many may say that its world and story is similar to The Division, who are we to disagree? It really seems familiar.

The game doesn’t include any complex mechanics and hidden but offers a level of difficulty that you can’t find in any action title of the same character. Since it’s heavily focused on teamwork and good communication, it’s better to not play alone or through matchmaking.

The tutorial may be long but offers many vital information about the game’s mechanics. You’ll have to go through a lot of running so better be prepared. What you’ll learn is how your AP gauge works, how to move around and what weapons to use. These are basic turn based strategy stuff, all familiar with the genre will have no problem getting the hang of it.

Lost Sector is graphically pleasing, full of 3D details that will work as terrain for you to take cover and prepare your aim. The matchmaking system for both PvE and PvP modes are well made and will work as expected for harder missions.

As explained earlier, The game offers two primary PVP modes, including a standard 4v4 squad based PVP match (which required being level 5 and we’d only reached level 2 after a few hours), as well as a clan based Conquest system where groups can fight for control over different territories in the city.

Let’s head on to the bad stuff. Lost Sector is not officially an english subbed game so translating it has resulted in some pretty bad sentences.  Also, the controls are clunky and the camera movement isn’t working as smooth as expected. However, this doesn’t mark the game as unplayable and is still a really decent game to try out.

To sum up, Lost Sector is a must play for all turn based strategy lovers. For those not familiar with the genre though, give it a try it will surprise you pleasantly. With both PvE and PvP modes, it can satisfy every appetite.
