Grand Fantasia is a fantasy Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) from X-Legend and Aeria Games. It is set in the fantasy world of Saphael where you have to overcome all obstacles, defeat scary monsters and finally banish evil with the help of Sprites, messengers of the Ancients.

There are five playable classes in Grand Fantasia, each with its own set of skills and abilities. Furthermore, new advancements become available for each one, once you reach certain levels allowing for different playstyles. The game implements a meticulous character customization process with many available options to alter your appearance, leading to unique avatar creations. The quest-driven story will have you travel to many different locations and fight against powerful monsters or join others and enter dungeons for experience, loot and gold. It must be noted that there is a huge list of quests, ensuring that players will always have something to do.

Sprites are your faithful “servants”; they can be ordered to gather loot, forage, mine or whatever else you want. Depending on the tasks assigned, they earn specializations that enhance their performance. What is more, as your character levels up, so do they, learning new skills and upgrading their stats to better assist you in your journey. There are many different mounts to collect, an extensive crafting system, world bosses to slain for great prizes, raids and guilds, everything a modern MMORPG should have, all beautifully presented in 3D with colorful and imaginative manga artworks.

For the PVP enthusiasts, Grand Fantasia offers typical 1v1 duels plus three different events available once your hero reaches level 31. Sprite Arena features a 20-minute match between two teams of fifteen players attacking crystals and killing opponents to earn points; the first team to gather 250 points is the winner. Hell Fire Arena is a 20-minute clash between two teams of ten with one being the attacker and the other the defender protecting a single crystal. There is also a wandering flying dragon whose eggs give temporal power boosts. Killing opponents and capturing the crystal earns your team points and leads to change of roles. Again, 250 points are needed to be victorious. Finally, the weekly event of Kaslow Guardian Contest is for the top 8 guilds and grants great prizes to the winners.

Grand Fantasia is a title that doesn’t innovate but what it does, it does it right; it will surely entertain the demanding MMORPG fan!

It was back at 1996 when Theodoros bought his first Personal Computer and with it a copy of Shogun : Total War. That was the beginning of many sleepless nights of exploring the fantastic world of gaming. He calls himself an “expert” defender and that’s his favorite gameplay style but he will not hesitate to grab a shield and go forth to protect his team as a tank. So next time you adventure in Azeroth and see a shield bearing cow named Klaras, you have found our guy! He is also a great fan of Role Playing Games. From Icewind Dale to Neverwinter Nights and Skyrim, you name it, he has played it all! He is not your average casual gamer, he is a dedicated fan!
