GetAmped 2 is a free-to-play MMO fighting game developed and published by CyberStep in 2010. The games features brawler fighting gamestyle like Brawlhalla, with 3D graphics and a lot of cool moves. You start by choosing one of 4 initial classes: Fighter, Hero, Spy and Soldier and even if they all start the same, you can fully customize your avatar and unlock new stuff to equip him in as you play. GetAmped 2 has a more limited hero pool than its predecessor, Splash Fighters but still keeps the same mechanics.

Starting with its tutorial, you may face the first hardships. Its learning phase is a bit dull and makes you repeat the same actions over and over to make sure you got them right. Much like Super Smash Bros’ like games, GetAmped 2 uses attacks ranging from light to heavy, with the most powerful of them sending enemies flying through the air, or out of the arena.

PvP is the biggest feature of the game with official tournaments and skilled 1v1 battles, but if you’re more of a PvE lover then you can check the Mega Force Missions which is basically its story mode where you team up with other players and fight the AI. There is also an Arcade Mode where players are asigned a hero and the fight several stages of the solo story missions.

The biggest problem with GetAmped 2 is the fact that it’s heavily pay-to-win. Buying new equipment like weapons and cosmetics which are mostly overpowered. Most players complain about how players spending money is bad for the game’s balance but grinding into it will also give you everything you need to rank up, other than buying it. Another downside you may find is the fact that its player base is small and not many people are still playing.

Summing up, GetAmped 2 is not a brawler game to get excited about but will certainly keep you busy with its fun gameplay, constant events and intriguing activities. If you are a fan of the brawler genre then you might actually like what it has to offer, otherwise you should consider a more grind-free brawler title.
