If you live in 2018 and haven’t heard the name Fortnite then you must be living under a rock (sorry about that). Fortnite is one of the most popular titles right now, with two main game modes, one of which is PvE and the other PvP. The survival PvE mode may not be that popular since it’s not free to play, however, the battle royale one is free and ready to jump right into.

Let’s start with the PvE mode which is a survival title with building, something like Minecraft meets Left 4 Dead. You can play as one of 4 classes: Commando, Ninja, Constructor, or Scavenger with each one having its own unique abilities and perks.

Fortnite’s power is its engine since the Unreal 4 is Epic Games’ masterwork and could not work better than in their own hands. Graphics look smooth, framerate is stable and if the PvE section can be played even in poor systems. However, this mode is not Fortnite’s star.

Fortnite Battle Royale is the shining star of Epic Games right now. The company even ditched its previous MOBA title Paragon to work on this one, so it’s bound to be good. Much like PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Fortnite throws you in an island with for players where you must find all the mandatory weapons and items to survive.

Unlike PUBG though, Fortnite is mostly based on building. You have a variety of assers like walls, floors, stairs, doors etc you can build in order to achieve victory. When the game first released we all acted like it was PUBG and never got to build. Now, the learning curve has become incredible with massive structures and mechanics being shown each day.

Epic Games is working has to keep this mode polished and it shows. Weekly updates with new content, events and the Battle Pass make sure that this game is here to stay.

Overall, both modes of Fortnite are must-play but if you don’t want to spend the extra cash on the PvE one, make sure to try the battle royale. You’ll be surprised as to how many fun hours you’ll get out of it.
