Fallout Shelter is a free-to-play Strategy title from Bethesda and as is heavily inspired by the highly successful Fallout games saga. It’s a demanding city-building title where you must build an underground shelter to house and cater for the survivors of a nuclear holocaust.

First of all, the game looks great with beautiful 2D graphics that remind of the actual Fallout game. Everything is wonderfully detailed and functional. Fallout Shelter can be pretty overwhelming in the beginning where you only have the very basics to get your colony going; a generator, a water treatment facility, living quarters and a thick vault door to keep bad guys out!

As more people come to your vault seeking shelter you will have to put them to work taking advantage of their skills and personal tastes; the pleased dweller is a productive one, don’t forget that! You can also bring your people together by acting as a matchmaker; happy couples will produce babies which will contribute to your vault’s population. The key to success in Fallout Shelter is to find a balance between your people’s needs and your colony’s expansion. If you create too much living space but not enough facilities to maintain a quality life you may end up with an overcrowded place with unhappy denizens; on the other hand, a small colony with a few but satisfied dwellers may be good but in the long term pretty boring, right?

Other than that, the game implements a quest system where you have to send some of your people out in the wilderness in search for supplies or to find and help others in need. What is more, you must not neglect your defenses since every now and then you may be under attack from roaming bands of raiders looking to sack your settlement! Fallout Shelter is a game that requires your full attention since even when you are not playing things are happening; if you are away for a long time, you may be up for nasty surprises!

Fallout Shelter is a game that will take up almost all of your time and in an amazing way; it’s demanding, it’s fun to play and it looks great! What’s more to ask? Come and try it, you will not be disappointed!

Good

It was back at 1996 when Theodoros bought his first Personal Computer and with it a copy of Shogun : Total War. That was the beginning of many sleepless nights of exploring the fantastic world of gaming. He calls himself an “expert” defender and that’s his favorite gameplay style but he will not hesitate to grab a shield and go forth to protect his team as a tank. So next time you adventure in Azeroth and see a shield bearing cow named Klaras, you have found our guy! He is also a great fan of Role Playing Games. From Icewind Dale to Neverwinter Nights and Skyrim, you name it, he has played it all! He is not your average casual gamer, he is a dedicated fan!
