Double Action: Boogaloo is the free-to-play First Person Shooter (FPS) title from Double Action Factory, a group of indie developers who teamed together in order to make a game where style, elaborate combat moves and fast action create an explosive recipe for fun!

Prior entering a match you will have to pick a style for your character (who most of the times look like some hero from an action movie or a game); these are packages that give certain characteristics and boosts, for example the Marksman has improved guns handling and extra damage with firearms. After that, you choose one of the eight available weapons, all with funny name such as The Undertaker or The Vindicator and enter the fray!

Killing opponents grants you points; eliminating an opponent while performing a fancy action move like gliding or going through a window will also reward you with slow-motion points. When you have enough of these points you can pull off a stunt in slow-motion, something extremely entertaining; if you can also manage to kill somebody in the process you will earn extra style points. Double Action: Boogaloo is not about just killing people, it’s about killing people in style!

Maps are small and built in such a way that they guarantee extreme action; what is more, from time to time you will be called to complete certain objectives like getting hold of a briefcase full of money and safely delivering it to a specific point in the map. These add extra challenge since most of the times the person who picks up that bag is not the one who will delivers it! The game uses the Source engine which offers simple but functional 3D graphics that don’t require a high-end machine to enjoy. Every weapon has a unique sound and behavior and the various visual effects add to the whole experience.

Double Action: Boogaloo is completely free and pure fun; visually it doesn’t amaze but its whole idea of killing in style is unique and surely stands out from the rest of FPS titles. It’s a game that fans of the genre and gamers in general will utterly enjoy!

It was back at 1996 when Theodoros bought his first Personal Computer and with it a copy of Shogun : Total War. That was the beginning of many sleepless nights of exploring the fantastic world of gaming. He calls himself an “expert” defender and that’s his favorite gameplay style but he will not hesitate to grab a shield and go forth to protect his team as a tank. So next time you adventure in Azeroth and see a shield bearing cow named Klaras, you have found our guy! He is also a great fan of Role Playing Games. From Icewind Dale to Neverwinter Nights and Skyrim, you name it, he has played it all! He is not your average casual gamer, he is a dedicated fan!
