Crystal Saga is a free-to-play, browser based Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG), developed and published by R2Games. It features a huge, colorful world with anime-like characters and an attractive story line with hundreds of quests to complete.

The game does not reinvent the wheel, it looks and feels like a typical MMORPG. There isn’t any character customization process, you just select gender and a class from the five available. From then on, you throw yourself into the wide, vivid world of Crystal Saga. There is a story line with a plethora of offered quests, a lot of dungeons and many different locations to visit. The soundtrack blends in wonderfully and adds to the experience. By completing quests, you earn experience, gear and money that you can use to upgrade your hero. The combat system is pretty straightforward; if you have played other games of the genre you will find yourself absolutely at home. What is more, there are pets that you can train and take with you as sidekicks. An innovation of Crystal Saga is the ability to equip wings that can be greatly upgraded and help you immensely in combat. Besides that, there is an interesting Away From Keyboard (AFK) feature, where you give your hero a set of commands and they go out questing on their own while you do whatever else you wish.

We have to give credit to R2Games. For a browser game, Crystal Saga manages to represent MMORPGs in a very convincing manner. It looks great, it’s easy to play and gives you that welcome feeling of familiarity. Whether you are a MMO fanatic, or just a casual player, this is something you should try.

Good

It was back at 1996 when Theodoros bought his first Personal Computer and with it a copy of Shogun : Total War. That was the beginning of many sleepless nights of exploring the fantastic world of gaming. He calls himself an “expert” defender and that’s his favorite gameplay style but he will not hesitate to grab a shield and go forth to protect his team as a tank. So next time you adventure in Azeroth and see a shield bearing cow named Klaras, you have found our guy! He is also a great fan of Role Playing Games. From Icewind Dale to Neverwinter Nights and Skyrim, you name it, he has played it all! He is not your average casual gamer, he is a dedicated fan!
