Cronous is a free to play 3D MMORPG game, by GameOn Studio evolving in a mysterious fantasy world where gods fight for dominance and survival.

Players can choose their hero amongst four different classes, Fighter, Magician, Valkyrie or Savage, with each one having its unique set of abilities. Fighters are strong characters able to deal great melee damage and their skills are mostly centered around increased damage dealing, through infusing strength spells to their weapons, enhanced armor and defense and special strong attacks with larger area of effect, in order to cope with multiple enemies. Magicians are able to use their unique spell casting skills and manipulate elements, in order to create havoc in the battlefield and reign fear over their opponents. They can attack from distance using spells with great area of effect and freeze, burn or shock their enemies with the power of cold, water, fire, and lightning. Special powers, deriving from the stars themselves, summoning and teleporting abilities are also valuable power sources in their possession and can be used to create tactical advantages in battle. Valkyries are mysterious characters of unknown origin that are very strong in melee combat, proficient in lightweight weapons and extremely fast, thus are considered deadly in combat, able to deliver stealthy and devastating attacks. Last but not least, Savages are characters that possess outstanding strength and physical powers. Their skills are mostly centered around increased damage dealing through special offensive abilities and attacks.

To add additional depth and character customization to the game, Cronous gives the option to all characters that reach level 115, to be reborn as Masters. Even though you will lose all experience, levels and skills learned, as a Master character you will gain access to unique equipment and new abilities. To make things even more interesting, every Master character can obtain a special Growth weapon that boosts up and develops in-line with the character’s progression. By advancing your hero to Master level 115, you can become a 2nd class character, which is literally an advanced and more skilled version of your selected class. Thus, fighters can become Knights, Valkyries can become Assassins, Magicians can become Wizards and Savages can become Titans. By reaching level 159 in 2nd class, you will have the option to advance to the 2nd Master level and create an even stronger character.

In order to strengthen the community aspect, Cronous gives the option to players to form an apprentice relationship, meaning that more skilled, master users, can accept other lower-level users as disciples and help them progress through the game and gain experience points. Players can freely trade with each other and create Parties of up to six players to fight alongside their friends and share experience points or form Guilds of up to 100 players and engage in Guild Wars fighting against other Guilds for power and honor. A PVP team battle mode is also available that randomly arranges teams based on character ranks and provides unique items and great rewards.

Cronous, even though it lacks in presentation and graphics quality and clearly shows off its age, it surely incorporates some great RPG elements and nice mechanics that create a cohesive content and may be worthy of your attention.
