Designed as a spiritual successor to the original, rather than as a true sequel, Disney’s Club Penguin Island takes everything that worked from the first game, and makes the valiant effort of not just improving upon it, but of making sometimes drastic changes, all for the good of the game. Within the world of Club Penguin Island, you will be tasked with a simple mission… Have a great penguin time! Participate in activities with your friends like going to a concert, having a swim in the pool, grabbing a bite to eat, or just hanging out in the town and chatting to your heart’s content! The possibilities for social expression are endless in Club Penguin Island, the only limit being your own imagination!

One of the greatest features of the franchise that long time Club Penguin fans will talk about is the depth of customization that was made available within the game. On this front, Club Penguin Island does not disappoint. From being able to fully customize your penguin upon creation, to having the opportunity to acquire new and unique clothing pieces during your travels, Club Penguin Island delivers as satisfying a customization system as any game of the genre that I have ever come across. And the customization doesn’t stop there! In Club Penguin Island, you will also be given the opportunity to acquire furniture and set pieces with which you can decorate your very own private Igloo!

Club Penguin Island, while a social experience at its’ core, still has quite a bit to offer from a pure gameplay perspective. Race, swim, jump, and climb in dozens of various mini games, designed not only to challenge you as a player, but to promote a healthy – and most importantly a friendly – competitive gaming environment throughout the world!

So come on down, and earn some in game currency, find a bit of treasure, make some good friends, and customize your penguin to your heart’s content in Disney’s Club Penguin Island!

A writer of fiction and lover of all things fantastical, Matthew has spent many of his days immersed in one created world or another, be they an MMO, traditional video game, or a work of literary fiction. Having been both an avid writer and video game lover for his entire life, the next logical step seemed to be, you guess it, writing about video games. And so here he is, doing that.
