If there was a case of a videogame treated unfair then that would be Champions of Regnum. This MMORPG, developed and published by NGD Studios in 2013 is strongly focused on its realm vs realm battles which are happening all day, everyday for all players on the servers. Where this game lacks though it the fact that there are not enough players to occupy the servers and start those RvR battles concluding to pure grinding and missing content.

In Champions of Regnum you start off by choosing a race, which basically indicates your faction and one of three basic classes. After 10 levels you are able to choose one further specialization which is essential to you build creation. Through your specialization and your skill tree you can create a unique and powerful build.

The controls and camera movement in this MMORPG are a bit clunky and can’t be rebinded but not on such level that would be considered user unfriendly. What’s the big problem on its gameplay is that it needs a ton of grinding to reach max level and get into RvR battles. However if you manage to get through the grinding phase, it’s worth give PvP a try.

Graphics-wise, Champions of Regnum is considered dated. It’s not such an old MMORPG but its environment and characters don’t seem as detailed and smooth as someone that have played Black Desert Online or Blade and Souls for instance would like. Regarding its soundtrack and sfx sounds, repetitive and blunt is the only thing coming to mind.

In its lonely, vast world, this game is really keeping its biggest secrets. If you check how many players are in each server you’ll find out that there’s no more than 20 players. This means that PvP and RvR activities are extremely difficult to be played at each time, even though they are polished and well working.

To sum up, Champions of Regnum is a fair PvP based MMORPG that lacks the playerbase and affection to keep on going. If you are into trying something new you can go on and download it but on the long run, it’s not worth it. One question comes in mind when talking about Champions of Regnum, how is it still live for such a low playerbase?
