Atlantica Online is a free to play 3D MMORPG strategy game, by Nexon. The story evolves around the legendary and once powerful and prosperous civilization of Atlantis. Even though Atlantis vanished, rumors say that various Atlantians and descendants have survived until today. You will embark on a mysterious journey, explore dangerous locations, fight bloodthirsty creatures and uncover strange secrets that may help you save the world from the upcoming catastrophe.

Graphics are well designed, not something tremendous, but appealing. Character selection is greatly diversified and broad, as you can recruit witches, monks, warriors, archers or spearmen amongst others. Nexon truly provides an innovative twist as you will not control a single character, but a group of fifty. With this structure you will gain access to multiple tactical options and strategic decisions. Regular combat played out in a 3×3 grid, is time limited and turn-based, meaning that upon your turn you will have some seconds to complete your move. Each group cannot fight with more than 9 characters and the whole confrontation usually won’t take more than a couple of minutes to complete. On the other hand, the tactical battle system is fresh and takes things more seriously in terms of area and flexibility, as the tactical battles evolve in bigger maps with free player movement, thus providing much greater strategic depth.

Players can buy or sell items at the in-game Market but also trade with other players directly. The game’s towns offer multiple activities and buildings to look out for, as hospitals in which you can cure or resurrect your mercenaries, banks that you can use to open bank accounts and safeguard your hard-earned coins, travel agencies that you can use to teleport to other locations, town halls available to the guild leaders of the guilds controlling the respective towns and training centers to use for battling monsters in timed trials. PVP works like a charm with nice leagues and tournaments and proper levelling between various players. Multiple in-game events run in parallel and provide a wonderful way to acquire great prizes, legendary equipment, mounts, mercenaries and other special items. Items can be also crafted, enchanted, fixed, dismantled or destroyed.
