Angels Online is an isometric 2D fantasy MMORPG developed by UserJoy Technology and published by IGG in 2007. While it shares a lot of graphic similarities to Ragnarok Online, Angels Online is a much more linear and simple MMORPG to get into. The game features 4 major regions: Aurora, Beast, Steel and Shadow which you will have to choose to fight alongside.

Create your character with extensive customization features like blood type, zodiac and personality traits and choose one of 15 classes to find the one that suits you better. As you play the game passively upgrades the skills you use most and the armor you wear so you don’t have to worry about that.

Angels Online has a level cap of 200 and you get to grind yourself up to that level in a beautifully made world with colorful cel-shaded graphics. They may seem dated in 2017 but an oldschool MMO gamer will appreciate it greatly.

What this game is famous is its extensive crafting system with dedicated classes exclusively to that. You can craft hundreds of armor pieces and weapons to make you more powerful.

Getting around in Angels Online is a fun process as you can mount anything you can practically imagine, from little pigs to horses to huge lizards. They don’t only assist you in battle but they level up as you do too, becoming more powerful in every fight.

PvP is not absent in Angels Online but it’s not a huge feature too. You could tell that PvP in this game is a strictly end-game material with 3 different modes:  Angel Arena, Holy Battlefield and Totem Battle, each one with its own objective.

Overall, Angels Online is a cute isometric MMORPG that shouldn’t go unnoticed. Even though a huge playerbase is not something this game is famous about, you’ll find yourself loving how the variety of things to do will keep you hooked on it.
