Alien Swarm: Reactive Drop is a free-to-play Role Playing Game (RPG) from Reactive Drop Team. It combines characteristics from many different genres like MOBA, Shooter and Strategy games and is based on the original Alien Swarm title which in turn was a remake of the homonym mod for Unreal Tournament 2004. It is exclusively available through Steam.

You play as a marine and must team up with as many as seven other players in order to seek and destroy the aliens that have taken over a space colony. Set in a not too distant future it features four playable classes that have unique skills and abilities and play distinct roles in combat. There is a sufficient variety of weapons to use with futuristic appearance and different stats; some of them are available from the very beginning while others unlock as you reach certain levels.

Each mission will require from you to meet certain objectives, from exterminating every alien on the map, to defusing bombs or defending your position from waves of incoming extra-terrestrials. Combat is a fast-paced, frantic session where team coordination, quick reflexes and good understanding of the battlefield are the keys to victory. You will soon see that the well-timed use of your marine’s abilities and the right choice of loadout may be more important than personal skills!

Alien Swarm: Reactive Drop makes the original gaming experience even better with new weapons, new maps, challenges and new cooperative campaigns. What is more, it features new PVP modes, namely Deathmatch, Gun Game, Instagib, and Team Deathmatch, plus the Steam Workshop where you can upload your handcrafted mods and find a wide variety of user-created content! It looks like it’s here to stay and seems that it will easily become your next addiction!

Amazing

It was back at 1996 when Theodoros bought his first Personal Computer and with it a copy of Shogun : Total War. That was the beginning of many sleepless nights of exploring the fantastic world of gaming. He calls himself an “expert” defender and that’s his favorite gameplay style but he will not hesitate to grab a shield and go forth to protect his team as a tank. So next time you adventure in Azeroth and see a shield bearing cow named Klaras, you have found our guy! He is also a great fan of Role Playing Games. From Icewind Dale to Neverwinter Nights and Skyrim, you name it, he has played it all! He is not your average casual gamer, he is a dedicated fan!
