Star Trek Online: Face the Test of the Kobayashi Maru!

The Kobayashi Maru, also known as the Starfleet’s most notorious test is waiting for you! The “original no-win scenario” has arrived in Star Trek Online as a limited time challenge for all Captains of level 50+ where you must keep the Kobayashi Maru unharmed from hordes of attacking enemies and other space hazards!

As mentioned, the object of the event is for your team to defend the Kobayashi Maru and destroy as many from the waves of incoming enemies. When all of your team’s ships are destroyed or when the Kobayashi Maru is, the session ends and you are rewarded according to your performance; needless to say that the more you last, the better the rewards! In the timed version of the event, the battle is over after a set amount of time or when one of the above scenarios takes place.

take part in the event each day and get a Weekend Voucher, plus your choice of Marks. When you have gathered at least three Vouchers, you can redeem them for the Prolonged Engagement Power Dynamo Universal Console, the brand-new ship Console! This Console is designed to passively gather energy from mechanical operations during a battle and transform it into electricity that can be used to increase the ship’s Subsystem Power levels. As the battle continues, the Console’s internal capacitors are filled with the excess energy; from that point on, the Console can be activated and temporarily double the accumulated power although this will drain the capacitors and disable the Power Proliferation protocol for a short period of time.
