Energy Heroes is a third person shooter MOBA that we would all love to see thrive on platforms like Steam, but we’ll probably never will. Developed and published by DSC Studio22, Energy Heroes is a classic MOBA title with turret destroying mechanics just like SMITE, but set in a distant future with a cel-shaded sci-fi environment that reminds us of Borderlands.Energium is the game’s basic objective. Lore-wise there are two civilizations fight over this resource, which also summarizes its gameplay. After you choose one of the game’s 10 heroes across 3 races: Humans, Nelmas and Jorvaks you are “thrown” in a 3v3 arena to destroy the enemy towers and obtain the Energium. Each characters has his own loadout and abilities even though there’s nothing too unique to them. Their models though are beautiful, dressed in cel-shaded graphics.Energy Heroes require huge amounts of teamwork to be even playable. If you don’t start playing it with friends then don’t expect to have a smooth experience. You have to be in constant communication and coordinate your objectives to the point. After all this analysis though, here comes the bad news. Energy Heroes is pretty much a dead game. Devs don’t post updates since last year, the game is still in early access and it’s a miracle that its servers are still on.Overall, if you want to try a MOBA third person shooter then Energy Heroes won’t keep you around for long. It’s worth the try if you want to play with your friends, but don’t expect to find anything pretty exciting to keep playing.Minimum System RequirementsOperating System: Windows 7 Processor: Core i7-930 Quad 2.80GHz / Phenom II X6 1055T Memory (RAM): 4 GB RAM Hard Disk Space: 6 GB Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 660 / Radeon HD 78703D Client MOBA TPS
