September has arrived in RuneScape and the developers are planning to keep you busy with rewards for your unused Quest Points, the return of the raffle and a brand-new feature, Player-Owned Farms!

The Player-Owned Farm is a popular demand from the game community and as from September 3, players will have a plot of land to call their own and dozens of animals to look after! Granny Potterington is overseer of a farm situated on the northern borders of East Ardougne and is in search of a competent farmer to take over; if your Construction is 20 and your Farming 17, you are qualified!

After a quick tutorial you will be ready to tend to the farm; raise animals for materials and Farming XP and sell them in order to get a stable-full of farming rewards! Put food in troughs, clear their smelly mess, harvest mushrooms to unlock zygomites and trap skillchompas to unlock chinchompas! Make yak pouches to unlock yaks and kill dragons, rabbits, yaks, spiders to unlock their relevant lifestock! And as far as rewards are concerned, a new elite skilling outfit in the form of the Master Farmer outfit awaits for dedicated farmers together with new skill-boosting potions for divination, hunter, invention and runecrafting, plus 37 achievements to complete as you progress!

Another new feature is the Quest Point Shop which will let you make good use of all these Quest Points that you have been amassing all these years! All you have to do is pay May and her caravan a visit in front of the Champions’ Guild and choose from several branches of a perk tree. What will you pick? The combat gear branch, which hands you armour and weapons that make you increasingly strong against quest bosses? The pet branch, which will unlock an adorable little pup that can be customised according to your favourite quest series or will you level up the quest hub itself, including a chest to store quest items and a teleport to the latest quest? And if you are not satisfied wit your choices, you can always re-spec!
