Star Trek Online: Deep Space Nine Gets a Total Rebuild

It has been long anticipated so the developers of Star Trek Online decided that in the wake of the Victory is Life update it was time for the Deep Space Nine Station to be renovated!

There has been a DS9 map in the game but it has been showing its age; so, developers have rebuilt the entire Promenade ring to match the one in the show and have added or updated places like the Infirmary, the Bajoran Temple, the Klingon Deli, the Jumja Stand, the Replimat, Garak’s Clothiers, the Security Office and its Holding Cells, plus Quark’s Bar, one of the most famous spots on the Station!

Developers went to the Paramount studios where the actual Deep Space Nine series was shot and saw for themselves how to recreate the famous station. The most important of all was to make the Promenade ring; after that, they had to make all the various rooms.

They also had to watch episodes from the TV series in order to add detail to the various rooms, lights, consoles, screens and all of those things that make the place look alive!

This is a work in progress, they are still adding some last-minute details and of course NPCs that will make all the difference! For more information and updates, don’t forget to check the Official page
