The Elder Scrolls Online: Outfits System – Basics Guide

This February your favorite game The Elder Scrolls Online will launch the Update 17 base-game patch alongside the Dragon Bones DLC. With them comes the brand-new Outfit System which will allow you to completely alter the appearance of your gear regardless of what you are wearing!

To start with, all Dye Stations will be upgraded to Outfit Stations; to use one, just select “Outfit 1” from the Select Outfit option and the Armor Styles and Weapons Styles options will pop up! Almost everything, from Helmets to Feet can be customized! Click on the slot you wish to change and all available options will show immediately. As you explore your options you will immediately see how they look on your character. Remember, you are not modifying your gear, you are just altering its appearance!

There is a plethora of filters that can be applied to fully customize your search for alternative appearance, but remember that to use a look, you must actually own it; when satisfied with your choice, select Apply Changes and you are done! Of course these features come at a cost which depends on the actual slot you wish to alter (for example, a chest slot will cost more than a shoulder slot to change), the rarity of the applied appearance and whether you wish to dye the piece or not. Alternatively, you can use Outfit Change Tokens bought from the Crown Store; each Token covers the full cost of an entire outfit change!

As noted before, to use an Outfit style you must have knowledge of it; this can be done through the various Motifs that your characters have unlocked. Your heroes have access to every unlocked Motif in your account, transferred to a new Collections type called Outfit Styles introduced with the launch of the new Update. You can also buy new Outfit Slots from the Crown Store up to a total of 10 for every character.

It was back at 1996 when Theodoros bought his first Personal Computer and with it a copy of Shogun : Total War. That was the beginning of many sleepless nights of exploring the fantastic world of gaming. He calls himself an “expert” defender and that’s his favorite gameplay style but he will not hesitate to grab a shield and go forth to protect his team as a tank. So next time you adventure in Azeroth and see a shield bearing cow named Klaras, you have found our guy! He is also a great fan of Role Playing Games. From Icewind Dale to Neverwinter Nights and Skyrim, you name it, he has played it all! He is not your average casual gamer, he is a dedicated fan!
