Introducing The Winter Expansion – EVE Online: Lifeblood

Lifeblood, the new expansion for EVE Online will launch on the 24th of October this year and it will bring big changes and improvements including new Upwell Refineries, new mining mechanics and a complete remake of mineral distribution!

The new Refineries will offer new ways of moon mining and will be focal points for collecting, storing, refining and processing resources. The expansion will also include a new high-security space feature called Resource Wars where players will cooperate in complex missions in order to mine for resources and in the same time protect their valuable cargo against space pirates, all for the glory of their chosen empire!

What is more, the Guristas and the Blood Raiders will try to expand the area of their influence by building new Forward Operation Bases from which they will organize raids across New Eden; it goes without saying that these bases must be found and destroyed! The expansion will also bring a number of minor changes like the Mining Ledger, a revamped reaction system and improved interface for the Agency.

And as we get closer to the release date, we will come across new features including NPE improvements, a new Market Ticker, upgraded weapons firing effects, new moon mining skills in preparation for the release of Refineries, improved visuals for in-game debris, and a brand new Agency event called Warzone Extraction. Many more are planned for the upcoming winter!
